The Chinese day care is not afraid to be patriotic.

I walk by Little Stars Daycare and Preschool everyday. It's run by a Chinese staff. During holidays the windows are always full of seasonal crafts made by the children. Today as I walked by admiring the flag motifed, 4th of July crafts, even I was amazed by the multitudes of red white and blue artwork on display. There were Uncle Sam hats and firecrackers and streamers and best of all, there were red white and blue stars with I heart America on them. Imagine that. Astonishing.

Come and visit, J. Doe, I have been to many cities in the states and San Francisco is the most beautiful city in the US. Even though the citizens border on the insane. It also has beautiful women and a lot of handsome gay guys!

OMG!!Talking about Chinese food. I decided to get Chinese carry out for lunch last week. I was so excited and raced back to work so I could eat the sweet and sour chicken I just bought. It was horrible. It looked like it was fried a few times. There was barely any meat inside. The rice looked like it had a cup of oil in it. I almost took the food back but didn't want to waste another 40 minutes driving etc

There are some Chinese restaurants that specialize in this very oily overfried yucky food. There is always some little piece of dried up meat in the middle of very tough batter. My friend's sister has a rap song done to Vanilla Ice's song, Ice Ice Baby. They didn't have much money and there were 7 kids, so they would get rice and gravy for a 1.00. Here goes the song.

I'm gettin' an itchin'
goin' down
to the Bamboo Kitchen,
Rice, rice, gravy!

Handsome gay guys. Yes, I had heard something about that stuff.

A few weeks ago I enjoyed a song a bit hippy on a radio talk show (presented by a member of the European Parliament), although I just remember this sentence: “streets oof saaan franssiiscooooo”, repeated a lot of times.

Well, I have read twice a nice horror book, Fritz Leiber’s “Our Lady of Darkness”, about a writer who lives in San Francisco and discover a few very nasty things, and I thought then that it would be pretty nice to live in a city where so many supernatural events happen. My town is quite more bored.

PS: Yes, I know it’s just fiction. ;)

J.Doe, I will read that book. Are going to San Fran Ciscoooooo, be sure to wear some flowers in your hair! See we are just like Spain, when they dress up in costumes of Andalucia and wear flowers in their hair!

You are referring to the "trajes de sevillana” (“sevillana” is a kind of folkloric music, as you know). Well, I love the ‘70s decade, the long hair, and the typical clothes that one sees in the movies. In fact, I am wearing now “pantalones de campana” (???) with a big hole in the right knee (three years ago, a college mate saw it in Zara and then told me: Man, you must buy it!). I suppose that I am a bit hippy in the surface, and actually, people use to think I am a leftist. I think that I have given a few surprises along my social life... What I mean is that I can wear as a hippy, but no flowers in my hair. No way, Jose! ¡Ni hablar!

Mi companero de trabajo, calls you our Zorro, J.Doe. Tireless defender of the USA! I think that the reason you look like a leftist is because you are actually, although I hate this term, an intellectual neocon. The left does not know that cultured Conservatives exist. It does not fit with their image of us. You just keep disarming them with your pantalones de campana. You can keep a flower between your teeth!
