The terrorists will not strike the US again until there is a Democratic Administration in power
The terrorists have not struck the US since Bush invaded Afghanistan and Iraq. They know that if they do stike us during Bush's tenure, Bush has proven that he will strike back. Bush will bomb and/or invade any country he feels sponsored the attack. That means Syria and Iran. The stakes for those countries are very high. Once a Democratic adminstration is voted into power, the terrorists will have no fear of reprisals and every reason to believe that the Democrats will roll over and make Spanish style concessions to the terrorist groups.

I am not so sure. Since Al Qaeda is a extremely complex group-society, we can not hope all of them have the same political priorities, so a big number of them could bomb not just USA, with Republicans or without Republicans, but also Great Britain, Italy or any other country. What is the problem from their point of view? If they die fighting in their holy war, they... grrr... they (believe that they'll) go up to Heaven. Dear virgins, there we go!
Maybe they will not count with Iran and Syria's help, but do they need it?
PD: The Spanish style concessions are really socialist style concessions. Of course, not in my name, and not in the name nor in the name of the profuse Spanish conservatives.
I tend to think the terrorists are not doing it for truly religious purposes, it's really about power and control of oil.
