Sheik Qasim Ibrahim Nur, director of security at Somalia's National Security Ministry, said the government has no power to resist the Council of Islamic Courts, which the United States has accused of having ties to al-Qaida.

To try to answer the question: why is Al Qaeda attacking the UN, of all organizations? The answer can only be that in the minds of these insane freaks every organization that does not bow down to Islam - even the spineless UN - is the enemy and must be made to submit, totally.
