Elle s'appelle Sabine

I watched the documentary by French actress Sandrine Bonnaire about her sister Sabine, who suffers from autism.

As is true of many people with autism Sabine has obsessions. One is her sister Sandrine, whom she adores, the other is America. Sabine loves America! Sandrine filmed Sabine on a trip to America and during the entire trip Sabine was obviously in heaven. A trip to Guadeloupe, also filmed, did not inspire much emotion at all.

When I related this to right-wing co-worker he said, "She's not autistic, everybody else in France is autistic!"
