If the Democrats had not been yammering on in a defeatist refrain for the last 3 years we could have been out of Iraq by now.
If the US had shown a united front from the beginning of this war, we would have been unbeatable. There would have been no insurgency. Our enemies would not have been emboldened to such a degree. There would not have been hundreds of thousands of Iraqi citizens slaughtered by their own countrymen or foreign fundamentalists. Al-Qaeda would have realized the monumental mistake it had made right away.
Instead, the Democrats have given life and sustenance to the brutal murderers in Iraq by letting them know that the US people are not united and that half the US population pasively supports the Islamic fundamentalist takeover of the entire Middle East and Europe and Scandinavia and eventually the US. The liberals were against the Afghan War. There is no attack that could could be made against the US that would convince liberals that we should do anything but turn the other cheek. Liberals are the most Christian of secularists.
Liberals are selected against. Their denial of reality makes them dangerous to their fellow countrymen and to moderate people everywhere. The government of Iraq is a democratically elected one, yet liberals in this country have continually supported the aspirations of Islamic insurgents over the rights of Iraqis who voted for that government. The Democrats say, every chance they get, that the Iraqis want the US out of Iraq. Which Iraqis want us out? The good and moderate Iraqis? The evil child bombing, woman hating imperialists of Al Qaeda? Most of the moderates have had to flee Iraq, driven out by the very lunatics the Democrats are telling us to listen to.
That the Democrats have nothing to say on the tactics of the enemy says a lot. The enemy is willing to blow up civilians women and children, is this ever mentioned by the Democrats? I have never heard them say anything about it. All I hear is the talk about the dead US servicemen and women. There have always been wars and people will die in them. The Demcocrats are worried about being blamed for the deaths of a few soldiers. I do not mean to belittle our troops but some of their families are showing a lack of perserverence and guts. This is only encouraging the enemy to believe that they can defeat us, ultimately prolonging the battle. This is about public opinion people, this is about elections and Democrats and a few turncoat Republicans keeping their cushy jobs.
Fuck them, I say. They have advocated for years exactly what Bin Laden has said would happen, the US can not take the deaths of a few of its citizens before tucking its tail between its legs and running home. Maybe we deserve to lose if that's the way half the population of the US feels. Let's just forget about border control like liberals advocate. Let's let in thousands of fundamentalist Muslims to riot and burn cars and threaten and kill our filmmakers and writers. They can beat up and rape American girls on the subway like they do in France. Very multicultural.
Maybe after the Democrats win the next Presidential election in 2008, we Rightists should give them a taste of their own medicine. A nice Republican insurgency. We did it once, we can do it again. I am willing to fight another civil war. Lefist multicultural values are not my values and I refuse to live under the tyranny of them.

Hell yes.
"Mr. Boyle, run up the colors".
This has NOTHING to do with this post:
I was feeling creative(???) today and wrote haiku for my favorite bloggers...you made the list.
Perhaps you should sign up and go fight in Iraq yourself? You might make a difference. After all, it was the fact that there were too few soldiers on the ground and bad decisions made which has led to the chaos we're seeing today.
Although I agree with everything you say about the Left, it's also true that if Bush had fought this war all out we wouldn't be in our present pickle.
The tipping point was Fallujah. When those American contractors were strung up on lamp-posts we should have flattened the place. But Bush didn't want to crush the practitioners of the religion of peace. So now they're not crushed and we're about to do another escape from Saigon. All they respect is brute force. Is that so hard to understand?
Denial of reality? Look in the mirror. Did you know that the Bush admistration considered going into Iraq INSTEAD of Afghanistan, but realized that the public would not understand. Most liberals, myself incuded, supported military action in Afghanistan, against al Qaeda. I do think though that we should have moved in more quickly and decisively, and destroyed al Qaeda-the people who attacked us, instead of doing a half-assed job because we had Iraq in our sights.
What a concept, right, attacking the people who attacked us, rather than concentrating our attack on the people who didn't attack us.
We should have focused our attention like a laser beam on al Qaeda, the extremist fringe of the fringe of the Islamic world, but the neo-conservates (not true conservatives at all--dont't you get that!)wanted to engineer a Clash of Civilizations and a program of destabilizing the Middle East, a series of regime changes, a long process of "creative destruction" as Michael Ledeen called it. The want an Empire, and have said so in their writings. Meanwhile, true Conservatives like Pat Buchanan want a Republic not an Empire.
The monumental mistake was not by al Qaeda, but by Bush in attacking Iraq. As a result al Qaeda has a sanctuary in Western Pakistan and Eastern Afghanistan while our forces are bogged down in Iraq.
Meanwile, the neo-conservatives, rather than admitting their mistakes (and they have been wrong about everything so far) are pushing for an attack on Iran.
There is a word for this: INSANITY.
(By the way, did you know that Bush does not regard atheists, like yourself, as good patriotic Americans?)
Like all liberals Gary you are talking out of your ass. Bush loves everybody! Don't you get that? He even loves the Muslims and wants them to have freedom.
Since you only responded to my last sentence I must conclude that you agreed with everything else.
As for you letters, I am a conservative and so do not support the idea of women in combat. I would be more of a liability than an asset. My vision being 20/1350 and all.
No Gary I don't agree with the rest of your comments. I blame the liberals for making a mess of Iraq.
As for who attacked us, I have told you before that Muslims are a united front against us. Muslims from Saudi Arabia attacked us in the name of Palestinians. So it matters little what Muslim country we kill Muslims in as they are all one and the same, by their own definition.
Really the liberals made a mess of Iraq?? Even Republican Senator Voinovich says Bush fucked up the war in Iraq. Whose denying reality now?? And Muslims are a united front? Aren't Shiites and Sunnis killing each other in Iraq every day. True though that Bush is gradually uniting the Muslim world against us.
Gary, I have been hanging with Muslims since I was 16. They have always hated us, for no good reason. They come here and whore around and drink and snort coke and then go home and act as if they are such pure Muslims. Their real problem is sheer envy.
Bush is not responsible for 9/11 or Palestine or lack of healthcare for that matter. Muslims have always been lunatic suicide bombers. Why have we not been attacked in the US? You liberals can't answer that question. It's because Muslims respect power and force. At least half of the US has balls.
The UN is responsible for the Palestinian problem. The Muslims should take their gripes to them. It does not behoove any country or people to make enemies of the US.
"Why have we not been attacked in the US?"
Thought we had been. September 11, 2001 wasn't it?
since 9/11 gary.
While its true that our strategy was lacking its no reason to root for defeat as our lib counterparts are doing, and Im not talking rank and file sheep like Gary or Letters.... Lib leadership is aggresively hoping for failure strictly for political gain and thats fucking sick.
As I recall we tried to go toe to toe straight line back in the day against the Brits and that didnt work out that well either initially, we needed a surge, we needed to change tactics, get a little uglier and bloodier. Same goes for almost every war we fought.
You know Gary like a typical liberal you get caught up in the catchphrase of your argument because you think you are so clever. "Bush lied" "Iraq is cause of terrorism" "Give peace a chance bullshit" You are the same type of liberal that supported the Moslem terrorists in Bosnia and are now continuing that support against our troops in Iraq.
The Iraq War was Saddam's fault end of story. Contrary to libs claim of Bush's "rush to war" is the fact that Saddam had continually violated the unanimously passed United Nations Resolution 1441, that the US Congress overwhelmingly voted to use force for continued violations. Whatever the "neocons" plans were are irrelevant for without those two things war would not have happened. Once again... Iraq was Saddams fault.
Letters since we are picking sides, perhaps you should sign up and fight as well... I hear al-qaeda is recruiting, or just continue as you are, they certainly appreciate the support.
This post was dead on right. Well said Miss C.
Muchisimas gracias Donkey! I have been reading about Clinton's arming and encouragement of the Islamic fundamentalists in Bosnia. Liberals used to be the number one supporters of imperialistic wars, Vietnam, for instance. But since they lost Vietnam they have been desperate for the right to lose a war.
Well donkey I would attempt a factual point by point refutation regarding the run up to the Iraq war but that would be pointless in your case. Saying "Bush lied" (and Cheney lied) is a simple statement of fact. The invasion of Iraq was a BAD idea, incompetently executed, and doomed to failure. Pointing out these facts is not what makes them true. And your constant attacks on other people's patriotism only shows you to be a scumbag.
