Well it's always good to be, uh, vigilant. Just stand around holding your weapon/dick and watching, that is, as people slaughter women and children with machetes.
I am sure the Chadians and Sudanese refugees are feeling sooo much safer knowing that "French forces"are there to "protect" them. One wonders why the refugees are still fleeing. Don't they know the French have their backs?

Can you imagine a phrase like that in a present day film? Of course you can't. Talk about evidence of how far we've regressed!
Of course, not long after after the time the speech was set, the French and their American allies wrested most of British America from the crown. And not so long after that, they marched as conquerors into every European capital besides Saint Petersburg. (And they did take Moscow if briefly.)
It is a good speech though.
