My co-workers are all blathering on about the events and I am terribly jealous of them.

That whole business of getting all worked up about others heroic triumphs and crushing defeats strikes me as slightly obscene from my present vantage point. Something like mental masturbation.

Anyway, that's my take.

Michael Phelps is the man, and the mens 4x100 relay was the most exciting olympic moment i've ever seen. Better even than the 1980 victory over the soviets!

I find it to be inspiring personally.
