Lefties are suddenly realizing that they've been rooting for the wrong side in Iran

They are still clueless. They have switched sides without thinking things through as they are often wont to do. They actually think that Ahmadinejad lost the election. They have always underestimated the religiosity and nationalism of people in other countries and they continue to do so.

I gotta news flash for them. The majority of Iranians love, or at least, like, that hairy monkey, Ahmadinejad, just like the Western left used to. Right up until the news of the Iranian election became the shot heard round the world and the left here in America saw that the Iranians who opposed Ahmadinejad were closer in idealogy to Western liberals than the right-wing ayatollahs and their figurehead president.

Remember when the leftists were slobbering over Ahmadinejad after he insulted Bush. The lefty blogs like the Huffington Post were full of commenters expressing nothing but glowing admiration for him. They were very much in support of the fascist, totalitarian religious regime and police state of Iran as long as it opposed their sworn enemy, Bush.

Now the left is jumping off Ahmadinejad like rats from a sinking ship, or fleas from a dead cat, and pretending to have been against him all along.

I call bullshit on them.
