John McWhorter and Miss C are on the same page
On everybody hatin' on Hillary for her MLK statement he had this to say,
"Well, politics is rarely pretty, but in this case the price is too high. For one, misinterpretation of statements in this vein makes black people look disinclined to process detail and context—in other words, dim. It only gives that much more fodder to views on black intelligence like those uttered by James Watson."

Whoa! It reminds me of when blackfolks got mad at Vicente Fox when he said "Mexicans do the jobs not even black people do". A lot of black people took that to mean that Fox called them lazy. It actually was a self-insult of Mexicans and an acknowledgement that Blacks had indeed "moved on up" from several forms of menial labor.
Jesse Jackson used the controversy to score himself a Mexican vacation. Whereas Louis Farakhan said, "Fox is right, we're done picking cotton".
Well not only do they think that Black men who do menial labor are "chumps" some won't do any work at all. They live like the British aristocrats. Dueling culture and all.
The Black janitors and typists here say their kids won't work. They are heading on 30 and never had jobs. Or got a job and quit right away or went out on a faje injury and never went back.
You can make a good living at janitorial, restaurant, construction work. Most all the janitors own homes.
I saw a story on the news that said that mortgage companies are giving loans to illegals and they pay them too, unlike some "other" Americans.
