Jail is sometimes preferable

Theordore Dalrymple has written a column wherein he states that about 1/3 of the male prison population prefer to be in jail, because in prison they are free from the trials that women put them through.

The prison guards are these prisoners' real friends and they like the freedom from responsibility they have while incarcarated. They know what is expected of them and it is little.

Co-worker's brother has been in and out of jail most of his life. When I mentioned the column to her she said, "That is my brother, Trey. That is him exactly. He can't stand women. Women drive him crazy. He's out of jail for a little while and he has to beat the hell out of some woman that drives him crazy and head straight back to jail." Even though he is walking with a walker at this point."

2 days later she told us her brother was back in jail for refusing to abide by curfew and not wearing his ankle bracelet. Now he'll have a real curfew.
