In a nut shell
"Modern conservatives tend to see the locus of appropriate moral concern more in personal behavior than in social structure (I am not here concerned with whether they are right or wrong). They believe in personal responsibility rather than causation by abstract social forces. They do not believe in entitlement, their own or anyone else’s, or in an indefinite extension of rights. They do not believe in perfection, and they think that even improvement usually comes at a cost."
Theodore Dalrymple

Very nice. Says it all.
In other words: conservatives behave themselves.
The other side - knowing damn well that conservatives will hold the world together by behaving themselves - makes caca all over the place.
Reading this back on Christmas Day, made me grin, and feel all warm, and toasty inside. Is it because it makes us feel better than the lefties?
Is it alright to feel this way? HELL YEAH!!!
A statement like this, if the lefties could understand the full range of it's meaning, would hit them as hard as a crowbar to their slack jaws!
I truly wish that all of "us" had a very Merry Christmas this year, and here's looking, cautiously, to a crazy New Year...
:D
Thanks again fer the lemon pie, Beelza!
There is always a slice (when we have it) for you Miss C!
